The Alliance of 5, also known as Ao5, is a coalition on world 2 formed against the tribe CEG. Its original member tribes were Aten, HOT, TW, RB, and CAKE. Recently, CAKE has pulled out of the Alliance of 5.

The Formation of the Alliance of 5
The merger of XiG and StW to form CEG was a highly controversial event. Many players viewed this as an attempt to dominate world 2. -CEG-'s claims that it was a new tribe and thus was not subject to its old diplomacy, drew the ire of several tribal families. In addition, its failure to recognize CMFAM and CE as part of their new tribes (respectively, TW and Aten) further complicated relations. Eventually, this resulted in Aten declaring war against -CEG-. Soon afterwards, TW and HOT dropped relations with -CEG- and later declared war along with CAKE. RB declared war as well, forming the Alliance of 5.
Amnesty for Players from -CEG-
In a controversial move, the Alliance of 5 sent a message to all members of the -CEG- family offering amnesty to members who left within 24 hours. This message was somewhat effective, perhaps contributing to the defection of around 200 players from the -CEG- family and sparking the reformation of StW.

The major runner problem sparked the reformation of StS and XiG and contributed to the splitting of the family, CEG after 5 days of the war.
However, despite the end of CEG, the Alliance of 5 maintained that it will continue to mark StS and XiG as enemies because most of these tribes formed after the 24 hours of amnesty had expired.
The Alliance of 5 becomes The Alliance of 4
On August 1st, at 12:14 server time, bolaar, leader of CAKE announced that he was pulling out of the Alliance of 5 as well as cancelling relations with HOT because of HOT's insistance that it was nobling a fugitive of the RUM war when it attacked one of CAKE's memers, a claim that CAKE strongly protests.
The End of the Alliance
Random Blood signed a NAP with their enemies due to a conflict with HOT, another member of the alliance.
On August 31, 2007, XiG/StS announced that a NAP had been reached with HOT and TW, under the stipulation that CEG would never again be formed and that they would support HOT and TW. This agreement left Aten as the only tribe continuing to fight the remnants of CEG.
TW broke the NAP with XiG a little over a day that it was made. Leaving TW against XiG and ATEN against Saints and XiG.
