Gold Coins

Gold coins are needed when you build an Academy to be able to make a Nobleman. The more nobleman you have the more coins you need to create additional nobleman, where villages taken with a nobleman count as a nobleman.

Nobles and coins

The number of gold coins you own defines the number of noblemen you can create and therefore also the number of villages you can possess (as every village after the first counts as a noble). To be able to create the first nobleman you need one Gold Coin, to create the second nobleman 3 Gold Coins are needed, for the third 6 gold coins etc, see below for calculations. If you have enough gold coins, a noble man can be created for 40,000 Image:Holz.png, 50,000 Image:Lehm.png and 50,000 Image:Eisen.png.

Calculations

  • 1 Nobleman - 1 = 1 Gold Coin
  • 2 Noblemen - 1 + 2 = 3 Gold Coins
  • 3 Noblemen - 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 Gold Coins
  • 4 Noblemen - 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10 Gold Coins
  • 5 Noblemen - 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15 Gold Coins

You can use this formula to easially determine how many coins you need, where n is the number of nobleman + towns you have (including starting town):

  • 0.5 * n * ( n + 1 )

Clarification

  • Gold coins are not consumed when creating nobleman. The amount of coins you have just determines how many nobleman you can at most have.
  • Gold coins are shared between all your towns. You can buy coins in one town and build nobleman in the other. You keep the coins built in a village even if it’s conquered.
  • To be able to create your first nobleman, you are required to have both 1 Gold Coin and then 40,000 Image:Holz.png, 50,000 Image:Lehm.png and 50,000 Image:Eisen.png.
  • If you have no nobleman, buying 1 coin in all of your towns gives you exactly enough for the next nobleman. (5 towns = 5th nobleman = 5 coins)

Changes

As the concept of storing resources in the academy and dispatch it between the academies is very annoying, especially while playing an account with lots of villages, the concept for the expansion of an account was improved.
