How do I build troops?

Each building or troop type has a prerequisite. For example; In order to recruit Spearmen you need to have a Barracks, in order to build a Barracks you need a level 3 Headquarters.

How do I make all the pretty colors?

The IRC channel #tribalwars blocks all color requests. Any colors you see are coming from your client, not the other players. Normally clients add color when they see something different from normal chat, or when they see your nick in the text.

How do I message someone?

All clients have a different method for opening up a private discussion with another user. The most basic is to type "/msg USER Message", obviously replace USER with the name of the IRC participant and Message with the message you wanted to sent.

X-Chat messaging

With X-Chat private discussions can be opened by right clicking on the participants name, and selecting "Open Dialog".

How do I change my name?

type /nick newname and replace "newname" with whatever you want your name to be.
