Protection

Protection is a status of a page that only a Sysop or Admin of a wiki can initiate. This protects the page from either:

1) Editing by unregistered users

or

2) Editing by anyone except Sysops or Admins

Protection is generally used only on pages that are:

  • Repeatedly vandalized
  • Meaningful to the protector
  • Permanent pages
  • Requested to be protected

If, for a good reason, you wish to have a certain page protected, contact either an admin or sysop.
